“Believe it or not, capital is limited.  If you use it for bad projects, you get poorer, not richer.” -Bill Bonner

“First, the world is changing.  It’s not a good thing or a bad thing.  But your life is going to change with it.  94% of the 15 million jobs created in the past eight years are either part-time or freelance.  The job landscape is changing.  Corporatism, which ruled the world for 100 years, is ending.  Technology and necessity have taken each industry, destroyed it, and then created 1,000 new and different ways to succeed in it.  Understanding what is new in the world is the LAST step in reinvention though.

Every day we are reinventing.  A river doesn’t stay still.  Every time you step into it, it’s a different river.  You and I are that river.  We either move forward or we freeze like ice.” -James Altucher

“So what sort of ‘business’ is government?  Answer: it is not a customary producer of goods sold to voluntary consumers.  Rather, it is a ‘business’ engaged in theft and expropriation — by means of taxes and counterfeiting — and the fencing of stolen goods.  Hence, free entry into government does not improve something good.  Indeed, it makes matters worse than bad, i.e., it improves evil.” -Hans-Hermann Hoppe

“The one thing I wish I had known in my 20’s…. EVERYTHING you think is important and meaningful has absolutely no bearing on your future life….   So the only thing I can with full integrity say I wish I had known is: nothing at all matters….  The main skill I got between my 20’s and now is that I bounce back from bad things faster….  Now I bounce back from bad things faster.  It’s freeing.  I go all out every day.  I throw myself into everything.  I cut what doesn’t work and I ignore the rules that keep me from doing what I know is possible.  And when I do everything works better for me.” -James Altucher

“Bad things happen to everyone.  It’s how we react to them that determine how they will effect our life.” –James Altucher

Take every advantage to learn.  I’ve always believed you can learn from every kind of situation and every kind of person.  It doesn’t have to be from success, but from failure.  And, you can learn as much from a person’s bad decision as you can from their good decisions.
